The12th International Landscape Photographer Of The Year Archív
10 Sep 2025

Winning a photography competition is part skill and part luck. Skill and artistry are required for obvious reasons, but to be considered the very best from a cast of thousands comes down to what the judging panel 'likes'. There's nothing wrong with this approach - we all like the chance to be winners - but it's also why we celebrate the Top 101 landscape photographs, not just first, second and third. Within a portfolio of 101 photographs, judges can reward a wide range of images, from single captures to imaginative composites. We don't believe it's up to us to limit what photographers can and can't do - as long as it is photography. Send us your best work and let our judges decide whether you deserve a page in the top 101 landscape photographs of the year. This is our twelfth year of the International Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards and the main aim of our Award is for you to have one or more of your entries accepted into the Top 101 landscape photographs of the year. This gives you a place in our exclusive book which is published online and can be purchased as a 'real' hard-cover paper publication as well. There is a total of US$12,500 in cash prizes, trophies and printed copies of the book for the major prize winners (see the rules for full details). Henri Cartier Bresson Self Published Photobook Award - 2025 Archív
25 Aug 2025

When Henri Cartier-Bresson published The Decisive Moment in 1952, the result of a collaboration with a major arts publisher, he created a work that was as striking and singular in its quality as in what it represented: the affirmation of photography as an art form in its own right, beyond its documentary function. Henri Cartier-Bresson would go on to publish other influential books, a testament to his deep interest in the photography book as a work of art and a natural extension of the photographic act. In this spirit, the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson places great importance on the photobook, both through its programming and the richness of its bookshop. In 2025, the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson is launching the Henri Cartier-Bresson Self-Published PhotoBook Award, which is annually awarded to a self-published photography book released during that calendar year. With this award, the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson supports artists who produce and distribute books independently, outside traditional publishing networks and furthers its mission to champion contemporary photographic creation. Prizes: Selected by a jury composed of five professionals from the fields of photography and publishing, the winner of the Henri Cartier-Bresson Self-Published PhotoBook Award will receive a prize of €8,000. The winner is invited to participate in a “Feuilletage”, a public program during which a photographer reflects on the creation of one of their books, discussing the image selection, layout choices and sequencing. The winning book, as well as those of the shortlisted candidates, will be featured as part of a weekend event honouring the art of self-published photobooks. Eligibility: The Henri Cartier-Bresson Self-Published PhotoBook Award is open to any individual or collective of any age and nationality who has self-published a photography book Copyrights & Usage Rights: Each copy submitted will become the property of the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson and will not be returned.
