A wopcast 24. adásának vendége Móricz-Sabján Simon fotográfus, a magyar fotóriporteri szakma egyik legfényesebb csillaga. Simon a pályafutása során kiváló anyagaival gyakorlatilag minden díjat és pályázatot elnyert már, amit a szakmában csak lehetséges. A magyar sajtófotó pályázaton már közel 50 elismerést kapott, nyert Hemző Károly-díjat, hatszor kapott NKA, háromszor pedig Pécsi József ösztöndíjat, külföldön pedig olyan rangos pályázatokon nyert, mint a Pictures of the Year, a Slovak Press Photo vagy a China International Press Photo Contest. Karriere a Népszabadságnál eltöltött 13 évben forrott ki igazán, az ottani termékeny közeg varázsolt belőle vérbeli fotóriportert. Az azt követő időszakban azonban Simon fotográfusi tevékenysége fokozatos átalakuláson ment keresztül, és bár fotóriporteri énje mindig vele lesz, egyre nagyobb hangsúlyt fektet hosszabb távú, az embert és környezetét, korunk társadalmát bemutató projektjeibe. Az adást egyik, véleményem szerint legfontosabb anyagával kezdtük: Simon a koronavírus-járvány tetőzései alatt azon kevesek közé tartozott, akik fotósként bejutottak egy kórházba és valós képet tudtak festeni arról, hogyan festett a vírus elleni küzdelem a magyar egészségügyben. Szívszorító, megható és nehéz történeteket mesélt betegekről, családjaikról és a kórházban dolgozókról. Ezután rátértünk arra, hogyan lett belőle az, aki: milyen hatások érték fiatal korában, miért választotta ezt a pályát, hogyan építette fel a karrierét és alakította ki alkotói hozzáállását. Mesél nekünk továbbá a részben általa alapított Pictorial Collective csoportról és a műsor végén egyik projektje segítségével bemutatja nekünk, miért foglalkozik annyit a magyar vidék sorsával. MonoVisions Photography Awards are an international open call for photographers using black and white medium to express their visual language. Our aim is to discover the best monochrome photographers from all over the world and deliver the best opportunities to be recognized and rewarded for their work. You can compete for $5000 in cash prizes in two categories: Black and White Photo of the Year 2023 and Black and White Series of the Year 2023. Your work can be submitted in 2 sections: SINGLE photo or SERIES of photos. A series consists of maximum 8 photos, sharing the same idea and concept. Our categories: Abstract, Architecture, Conceptual, Fine Art, Landscapes, Nature and Wildlife, Nude, People, Photojournalism, Portrait, Street Photography and Travel. Join us for The Nature Conservancy's 2022 Global Photo Contest! Your photos can show the world the beauty of biodiversity, the value of ecosystems and the resilience of people. Join a community of photographers, get judged by the best in the industry and win great prizes. Entries will be considered from the following categories: - People and Nature: A person or people in an outdoor setting or the impact of people in nature, such as a building or other human-made construction. - Landscape: Should give us a sense of place and show the world around you. Could include people or wildlife but the primary focus of the image should be the landscape. - Water: Should celebrate water in all its forms. Could be part of a landscape and include people or wildlife but water should be the primary focus of the image. - Wildlife: Includes mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, insects, and aquatic animals. Images of domestic animals and captive animals photographed in zoos and commercial game farms are not permitted. - Plants or Fungi: Includes any plant or fungus in its environment. Includes flowers, trees, shrubs, and vegetation in general, as well as lichen, and fungi such as mushrooms. - Climate: Should showcase our changing world and highlight the causes and effects of global warming.
