A tanulókörbe bárki beállhat, s hamarosan – akár néhány figura variálásával – „szabadon” táncolhat. Ez a szabadság azonban nem teljes kötetlenséget jelent, hanem a megismert stílusokon belüli önálló építkezést. https://www.facebook.com/events/805155254002564/

Half a century after the advent of color film, black and white & monochromatic photography continues to capture our collective imagination. Utilizing tone, contrast, texture and shape, monochromatic photography strips its subject to only the most essential visual elements; revealing a sense of soul, substance and meaning – separate from the shifting sentiments, symbolism and cultural associations of color imagery. Praxis Gallery seeks the submission of photographic works that demonstrate the fundamental qualities that make black and white & monochromatic photography an enduring, contemporary art form. All genres, capture types, black & white and color, traditional and non-traditional photographic and digital post-production processes are welcome for submission. JUROR | ROBI CHAKRABORTY Originally from India, Robi Chakraborty studied photography under the prestigious O.P. Sharma at Triveni Kala Sangam Photography in New Delhi. He began his career doing both commercial and press photography in the early 1980s, but through wanderlust and with a spirit to explore, Robi became drawn to photographing the people in the cities and villages of his native India. Taking roads less traveled, Robi sought out cultures and ways of life that were quickly becoming lost in the contemporary, more homogenized world of today. Having lived in India, Nepal, Africa and the US, Robi portrays his global view of the world through his photography by celebrating both the diversity of his subjects yet beautifully revealing the striking similarities and capturing the humanity that we can all relate to. Recent awards include the Merit Award in All About Photo Magazine (July 2018) the Excellence Award in Black & White Magazine (June 2018) and Exhibitions at Gala awards in Barcelona and Faces at Budapest diary photography (2019). A Magyar Műhely Galéria szeretettel meghívja Michael Heindl és Pólya Zsombor Gap című kiállításának a megnyitójára, 2022. szeptember 7-én, szerdán 18 órakor. Bevezetőt mond Antal István képzőművész, a kiállítás kurátora. A kiállítást megnyitja: Boros Lilla művászettörténész. A kiállítás célja közelebb hozni a magyar képzőművészeket külföldi alkotó társaikhoz. ____________ EN The Magyar Műhely Gallery cordially invites you to Michael Heindl and Zsombor Pólya Gap, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 6 pm. Opening by György Cséka, aesthete. Introduction by István Antal, artist and curator of the exhibition. The exhibition will be opened by Lilla Boros, art historian. The exhibition is open until 30 September, from 10 am to 5 pm on weekdays. The exhibition aims to bring Hungarian artists closer to their foreign colleagues. The exhibition will present experimental works that cannot be classified in the classical art trends. However, the artworks in question must be something more and something more than a combination or collaboration of these disciplines. The works presented by the artists. Socially sensitive works, based on their own experiences, open a "gap" to the hidden laws of our world. https://www.facebook.com/events/2365687730274438/
Messzemenők. Ata Kandó 1956-os gyermekportréi A kiállítás megtekinthető: 2022. szeptember 7. Seeing Refuge. Ata Kandó’s child portraits from 1956 Open to the public: 7 September 2022 – 16 October 2022 Tuesday - Sunday 12:00 – 19:00 Closed on Mondays and public holidays. Curator: Anna Kereszty Ata Kandó, who had been living in the Netherlands for several years, travelled to the Austrian-Hungarian border after the 1956 revolution to report on the crowds fleeing the country. Her sensitive portraits, mainly of children, are an important documentation of the experiences of the refugees who left their homeland behind. He was accompanied on his journey by his Dutch photographer friend Violette Cornelius, with whom she put together an album of their photographs taken there. The so-called "untitled RED BOOK" sold out in two months and all the proceeds from the copies sold were donated to help families in need. Their work is extremely important in remembering the 1956 revolution and documenting the plight of Hungarian refugees at the time. https://www.facebook.com/events/466448875345107/
Szeretettel meghívunk a MOME FOTÓ MA diplomakiállítás-sorozatára, mely az elmúlt három évben végzett hallgatók munkáit mutatja be! Megnyitó: 2022. 09.07. 18.00 A kiállítást megnyitja: István Kovács (Berlini Magyar TV) https://www.facebook.com/istvankovacs.berlinimagyartv 2022.09.07 - 11. "SENSE OF PLACE" Olajos Ilka, Somorjai Balázs, Rédling Hanna, Juhasz Roxane Phylicia 2022.10. 11 - 16. "HOME, AT LAST" Cora Sun Yuting, Koczka Viola, Novák Dorottya Daniella, Boldizsár Edit Mennyivel egyszerűbb lett volna az életünk a lassan harmadik éve húzódó pandémia nélkül. A bonyolult, precedens nélküli körülmények sok nehézséggel szembesítették a művészhallgatókat, de talán a közös munka, a felkészülés körüli izgatottság megosztásának lehetősége hiányzott leginkább. How different our lives would have been without the pandemic that has been going on for almost the third year now! If everything had remained the same, there would have been no need to rethink our habits and there would have been no need to think up new routines. The complex and unprecedented circumstances confronted the art students with many difficulties, but perhaps what they missed the most was the opportunity to share their excitement of working and preparing together. The series of six exhibitions shown here take place in a weekly rotation in order to break the spell of focusing inward by opening up towards each other and to the public as well. A graduating class is in some respects an occasional company, as in their final exhibition an eclectic collection of individual creative endeavors are placed next to each other, not assembled by the synergies of their contents, but by the necessity of their simultaneity. In the project space of Capa Center, new passages are created between the works of photographers who completed their studies during the pandemic years. Week after week, we bring into play a set of important topics that the youngest generation of photographers are concerned about: the cohesion of groups, the challenges of our future, questions around self-acceptance, social tensions, confronting the past, or creating a home. A kiállítás minden kedden frissül, így szeptember 13-án, 20-án, 27-én, október 4-én és 11-én 18 órakor az adott témával kapcsolatos kísérőeseményekkel várunk benneteket!
