" In this Canon-only contest we want to see images that fit our 'frozen' theme. This could be anything from snow covered landscapes to close-ups of snowflakes and icicles. " Whilst it is often the colour of the animals on our planet that defines them and wows the viewer, presenting them in black and white has a power of its own. It can focus attention more on their characters, the form of their bodies, and their surrounding habitat. Some colour toning of imagery is fine in this contest, as long as the image remains monotone, and the definition of wildlife excludes any domesticated animals or those in a farmed environment. Every photo submitted will be available for the crowd to rate once the submissions period has ended. You can see all the images uploaded to a contest, but will need to rate them to see how they’re ranked once the rating period begins. Some contests on Photocrowd also have a judge. Deadline: 5 January 2022 The UPY team would like to thank everyone who entered this year's competition. We are humbled that so many of you choose to support us, and through the UPY competition the wider diving community. Face to face judging has been central to UPY’s way of operating and we know that entrants greatly appreciate the efforts we put into selecting our winners. Current COVID restrictions mean that for the 2022 contest the UPY judges will be meeting online, but we plan to be as thorough as always in evaluating every image we receive. We anticipate that working online will slow the judging process, so please be patient, you can expect winning notifications to come a few days later this time. We intend to take all the time necessary to study the images properly and do not want to set a deadline for when winners will be notified. " A Soulscapes (Lélekképek) című sorozat az egyén környezetének érzékelését, az alternatív valóságokat és az emlékek folytonos változását vizsgálja az idő múlásával. Törékeny belső tájképek jelennek meg az alkotásokon, ahol az emlékmaradványok és a hiányzó részletek kiegészítik egymást, egy új realitást létrehozva. Ebben a szubjektív valóságban az idő és a személyes memória úgy alakítja át az érzéseket, hogy az emberi vonásokat lassan színek és formák váltják fel és a képen látható személy fokozatosan, egyre inkább absztrakcióvá válik. Az így létrejövő experimentális fényképek különböző kézi beavatkozások útjan feszegetik az instant fotográfia határait. A hosszadalmas folyamatok során a művész különböző anyagokat és folyadékokat fecskendezett a hagyományos polaroid fényképek rétegei közé, hogy azok egy sajátságos univerzumot hozzanak létre, amelyek így a változó érzelmek és a távoli emlékek leképezéseivé válnak. ”Virtual Gallery of my Green Region” Photo Contest is part of the interregional campaign ”Bringing Green in My Region” organized by Europe Direct Centre Maramureș (Romania) in partnership with Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok Europe Direct Centre (Hungary) and Europe Direct Centre Panevėžys (Lithuania). 15 teams of students and teachers from Panevezys, Szolnok and Maramures present in the contest their green initiatives that promote the eco-friendly behavior, increase the involvement in community and stimulate the teamwork. Each virtual gallery, consisting in 10 photos, is visually storytelling the efforts of students and schools ”to bring more green” in their daily life.
