A workshop célja az oktatással egybekötött közös, kreatív alkotás. Tanulhatsz a portrévilágításokról, a modellel való kommunikációról, a pózokról, az előre tervezés és csapatmunka fontosságáról, a styling és a kellékek, kiegészítők jelentőségéről, mindamellett megvalósíthatod az elképzeléseidet szakmai segítséggel. A workshop különösen ajánlott azon fotográfusoknak, akik eddig inkább természetes fénnyel vagy állandó fénnyel fotóztak és szeretnék kipróbálni, megtanulni a stúdióvakuk alapszintű használatát és a különböző fényformálók jelentőségét. Akkor is szívből ajánlom, ha még nem volt lehetőséged, kapacitásod megszervezni kreatív koncepcióra alapuló fotózást, mert szerintem (és ezt fotósként mondom) hatalmas élmény kilépni egy picit a megszokott fotózások kereteiből és létrehozni valami újszerűt, különlegeset. 2022. február 26-án, szombaton, 17.00: órától Simon Zsuzsi képzőművész és a tárlat kurátora, Cséka György tart tárlatvezetést. A tárlatvezetést követően, korlátozott számban, 10 fő részére lehetőség van a Garay Fitness edzőteremben egy edzésre, amelyet a kiállítás képeinek modellje, Alexandru állított össze, és amelyen ő maga is részt vesz. Ha eddig nem mertél egyedül lemenni konditerembe, de szívesen kipróbálnád magad, egy barátságos csapattal, akkor ott a helyed! A kettő nem zárja ki egymást, ha valaki csak a tárlatra jönne vagy az edzésre az is megoldható. Az edzésre készüljetek edző ruhával, edző cipővel, vízzel, esetleg törölközővel (a fitneszteremben zuhanyzó és infraszauna is van, aminek használata benne van az árban). Benned azonban, mivel felkerested a Bevezetés a tárgyfotózás világába workshop oldalát, valószínűleg megfogalmazódott már a kérdés, hogy hogyan tudnád úgy bemutatni az általad kiszemelt tárgyat, hogy az a lehető legelőnyösebben mutasson a képen. "A Trafó - Gondolat Generátor műhelye pályázatot hirdet a Freak Fusion: Restlesslegs című újcirkuszi előadása kapcsán, mely április 12-én 20:00-kor tekinthető meg a Trafó Házban! Nyugtalanok vagyunk, tenni akarunk, részt venni mindenben, számítani, bizonyítani magunknak és a környezetünknek, hogy szépek, okosak és egyediek vagyunk. Van, hogy eluralkodik rajtad az a belső késztetés, hogy mozgásban maradj? Hogy néha nem tudsz megülni a helyeden? Egy rugó, egy krikszkraksz, egy folyamatos kattogás, egy végtelen vonatút vagy a lerágott körmök? Te hogyan ábrázolnád a nyughatatlanságot? The pandemic has transformed the way we behave, has affected our psyches, and made us examine what is most important in our lives. We discovered that everything is fleeting and temporary, ever changing, moving, and evolving. Transience comes in many forms and awareness of the transience of all things heightens appreciation of their beauty and evokes a gentle sadness at their passing. Praxis Gallery seeks the submission of photographic art that speaks to the transitory nature of life--from flora and fauna, from objects left behind after a loved ones passing, to memories and loss. All genres, capture types, black & white and color, traditional and non-traditional photographic and digital post-production processes are welcome for submission. Guest Curator | Aline Smithson Aline Smithson is a Los Angeles based visual artist, editor, and educator. She is the Founder and Editor- in-Chief of Lenscratch, a daily journal on photography that has offered exposure and opportunities for thousands of photographic artists since 2007. Aline has been an educator at the Los Angeles Center of Photography since 2001, and she teaches at venues around the globe. She has curated and juried exhibitions for a number of galleries, organizations, and publications, including Review Santa Fe, Critical Mass, Flash Forward, and the Griffin Museum. In addition, she is a reviewer and educator at many photo festivals across the United States. Aline received the Rising Star Award through the Griffin Museum of Photography for her contributions to the photographic community and the Excellence in Teaching Award from CENTER. Her work was selected for the Critical Mass Top 50 and in 2015, the Magenta Foundation published her first significant monograph, Self & Others: Portrait as Autobiography. In 2016, the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum commissioned Aline to a series of portraits for the upcoming Faces of Our Planet Exhibition. In 2018 and 2019, Aline’s work was selected as a finalist in the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize by the National Portrait Gallery in London. In 2019, Kris Graves Projects published LOST; Los Angeles. She is a dedicated film shooter. Prizes: Up to 36 Images will be selected by the juror for exhibition at Praxis Gallery. One Curator’s Choice and three Honorable Mentions will be awarded and featured in the exhibition, the printed show catalog, and the online exhibit gallery. "The GRAVITY PHOTO CONTEST is a side event of the GRAVITY FESTIVAL, the first urban arts festival serving the planet. The first edition of the festival will take place on May 14th and 15th 2022 at Yann Arthus Bertrand’s Foundation GoodPlanet in Paris. This festival will have various aspects but the two main ones are: - An artistical component with 10 graffiti artists, recognized at the world level, that will paint live in front of the public 10 artworks on the topic of the protection of environment. Also, visitors will have access to Vincent Munier’s open air exhibition and the Planet Ocean exhibition inside the Foundation’s castle. -An informative component with two round tables by leading actors of the ecology. Also, visitors will have access to all the Foundation’s workshops. The purpose of the festival is that all contributors, artists and speakers, contribute to raise awareness of the gravity of the current ecological situation. THEME The topic of the GRAVITY PHOTO CONTEST is “the beauty of nature” in its broadest sense. The presented photographs can either focus on environment and its protection, the ecological situation but also on the animal or vegetal world, landscapes. We add an important point, beauty alone does not really make sense, a strong message must be associated with it. Furthermore, the equipment used is of no importance in the eyes of the jury, as is the professional or amateur aspect of the photographer. We simply want to see beautiful and strong pictures of nature. JURY Myriam Dupouy : professional photographer, speaker, trainer for the NIKON SCHOOL, the French Federation of Photography, Studio Jiminy and the Festival de l'Oiseau et de la Nature. Stanley Leroux : professional photographer, Gold Medal for Photography from the National Society of Fine Arts, author of two successful monographs Cinquantièmes Hurlants and Rêveries, les éléments de l’incertitude. Candice Coulomb: Responsible for the programming of the GoodPlanet Foundation’s events. Jonk : professional photographer, author of several books, member of the organization team of the Gravity festival. Prizes: The twenty finalist’s photographs will be exhibited at Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s Foundation GoodPlanet in Paris during the length of the festival. The twenty finalist photographs will receive a 10% discount on a Negative+ order in store. Photographs will be printed on Hahnemühle paper at 50x70cm. Participants who will be willing to get there framed pictures back after the festival will be able to do it at no cost. The other ones will be recycled.
