Vincent Baumgartner:
BUILDINGS TELL TALES – Budapest’s Hidden Treasures
photography exhibition
Behind the façades of Budapest’s turn-of-the-century architecture lie spaces few ever see. Silent staircases, worn courtyards and entrance halls have witnessed generations pass through, preserving traces of the city’s changing life. This exhibition by Vincent Baumgartner uncovers these hidden interiors, where time has left its mark: walls layered with memory, details softened by age. These buildings are not ruins but bridges between past and present, where history lingers in every detail.
📍 Venue: Metropolitan Ervin Szabó Library – Central Library, Atrium
📅 Opening: January 20, 5:00 PM
🎤 Opened by: Ferenc Farkas, Director of the Central Library of FSZEK
On the occasion of the opening, the photo book BUILDINGS TELL TALES – Budapest’s Hidden Treasures / Les trésors cachés de Budapest / Budapest rejtett kincsei (Bellibro Publishing) will be available for purchase, and a book signing will also take place.
