10 éves a Pécs Summer School Program – Jubileumi fotókiállítás-megnyitó
A Pécsi Tudományegyetem Pécs Summer School Programjának 10 éves jubileuma alkalmából különleges fotókiállítással ünneplünk, amely az elmúlt évtized legemlékezetesebb pillanatait idézi fel. A tárlat nemcsak képeket mutat be, hanem történeteket mesél – találkozásokról, közös élményekről és egy folyamatosan bővülő nemzetközi közösségről.
A program 2016-ban lett létrehozva azzal a céllal, hogy a nyári időszakban is pezsgő, nemzetközi akadémiai élet töltse meg az egyetemet és a várost. Az elmúlt 10 év során több mint 1600 hallgató érkezett közel 100 országból, és 65 nyári egyetem valósult meg mintegy 300 oktató közreműködésével. A világ minden tájáról érkező résztvevőknek köszönhetően Pécs a nyári hónapokban valódi nemzetközi találkozóponttá válik.
A Nemzetközi Igazgatóság által szervezett nyári programkínálat rendkívül sokszínű: megtalálhatóak benne a partnerintézményekre szabott egyedi képzések, nyitott nyári egyetemek, faculty-led és Erasmus BIP programok, jelenléti és online formában egyaránt. Az akadémiai tartalmat az egyetemi karok biztosítják, míg a teljes körű szervezést a Study Abroad és Nyári Egyetem Iroda végzi.
A Pécs Summer School Program innovációját és eredményességét számos elismerés is igazolja: a COVID-időszak alatt fejlesztett online nyári egyetemi programokért a PTE 2021-ben elnyerte a European Association for International Education ’Excellence in Internationalisation’ díját, míg a Magyar Marketing Szövetség három alkalommal is Marketing Gyémánt díjjal jutalmazta a nyári egyetemi programok megvalósítását.
Ez a kiállítás a Pécs Summer School Program tízéves eredményeit mutatja be, amelyhez rendkívül sokan járultak hozzá: a szervezők, oktatók, szolgáltatók, a partneregyetemek, és nem utolsósorban a fantasztikus hallgatók, akik a nyári élmények hatására egyre többen térnek vissza a Pécsi Tudományegyetemre, hogy újra átélhessék a PTE élményt.

10 Years of the Pécs Summer School Program – Anniversary Photo Exhibition
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Pécs Summer School Program of the University of Pécs, we celebrate with a special photo exhibition that recalls the most memorable moments of the past decade. The exhibition presents not only images but also stories—of encounters, shared experiences, and a continuously expanding international community.
The program was established in 2016 with the aim of bringing vibrant international academic life to both the university and the city during the summer period. Over the past ten years, more than 1,600 students from nearly 100 countries have participated, with 65 summer schools delivered through the contribution of approximately 300 lecturers. Thanks to participants arriving from all around the world, Pécs becomes a true international meeting point during the summer months.
The summer program portfolio, organized by the International Centre, is highly diverse, including tailor-made programs for partner institutions, open-enrollment summer schools, faculty-led and Erasmus BIP programs, offered both in on-site and online formats. While the academic content is provided by the faculties of the university, the comprehensive organization is managed by the Study Abroad and Summer School Office.
The innovation and success of the Pécs Summer School Program have been recognized by several prestigious awards. For the development of online summer school programs during the COVID period, the University of Pécs received the European Association for International Education’s ’Excellence in Internationalisation’ Award in 2021. In addition, the Hungarian Marketing Association has honored the program three times with the Marketing Diamond Award.
This exhibition showcases the achievements of ten years of the Pécs Summer School Program, made possible through the contributions of many: organizers, lecturers, service providers, partner universities, and, last but not least, the outstanding students who, inspired by their summer experiences, often return to the University of Pécs to relive the PTE experience.
The exhibition will be opened by Prof. Dr. István Tarrósy, Director of the International Centre at the University of Pécs.
